Ubuntu Village Programs

The main objective of Ubuntu Village is to travel around the world capturing stories of extraordinary everyday people. We are interested in those whose mission in life is to "give a helping hand" to their fellow human beings with whatever resources they have been blessed with. This can be adopting a child, building a school, advocating for an oppressed persons human rights, the list is endless. We will also feature stories of people's personal triumphs against overwhelming odds. These stories will be used to encourage people in all walks of life. Ubuntu is in every part of our lives and applies to us all.

Most people who do tremendous work to improve the human condition of others do not get recognition. We feel that we need to acknowledge them such that others can get inspiration from them. The most important criteria for a person to be featured is that they do not do what they do for pomp and that throughout their work they have preserved the dignity of the people they are helping.

We will be planting healing garden's and forests in all communities to honor those who have gone before us and in recognition of those who continue to suffer. Each plant will represent our hope for a new beginning.

We hope to have a worldwide discussion forum so that people can contribute their ideas and resources to make this a better world. The aim is to spark dialogue about how to achieve peaceful balance in today's chaotic environment.

Random acts of kindness will be performed for strangers by some secret Angels. As much as possible the recipients shall not know the Angels that blessed them. All we ask is that they say a thanksgiving prayer for them.

We will research different organizations that can help those that are in need. We hope to be able to connect as many different people to individuals or organizations that can assist. This project will also put together a resource directory to help refer people seeking assistance.
